[Cassava] Request of sponsoring of an International workshop on "Innovation in cassava production, processing and utilization

We all know the importance of cassava as a food security food and a cash crop.A number of innovations   appear recently at production, processing and utilization levels. The main objective of the workshop is to gather all these informations and share and dissccuss them among professionnels.
 In Benin, with the help of the GARISECURE project,an EU-funded, appropriate sarter cultures were developed and with the fortification scheme in place coupled with an adequate processing environment, fortified gari are produced within 12 h fermentation period as compared to 48h in traditional non-innovation process.

Therefore, I Kindly request your financial assistance for  hosting a three day workshop in Cotonou, BÃnin, on March 2009, on "Innovations in Cassava production, processing and utilization.

Please, find attached the prospectus of the "International Centre for Applied Research in Food & Nutrition (ICARFON), an NGO working in food and nutrition area.
